Project Q & A
Click on questions to show the answers.

1. Accredited Certification upon completion is required. Is this in reference to a nationally recognized certification that already exists and is accredited? If so, which organization would be granting the accredited certification?
We are not specifying any one accreditation, but rather saying we are looking for some sort of accredited certification at the completion. We want to know what your organization offers.
2. CEU's are required. Are these official Continuing Education Units that are awarded through a higher education institution? Or, would the number of Contact Hours spent in the course by the participant as documented on a Certificate of Completion meet the requirement?
Organizations that qualify to grant CEU’s go thru a process to be certified grantors thru the IACET. You are either authorized to grant them or they don’t count as CEU’s. People who have prior certifications often have to achieve a certain number of CEU’s to keep their certification current. The website to review this is: https://professionals.collegeboard.org/prof-dev/workshops/ceu-credits
3. Under the Accredited Certification, what is the current Accredited Certification for staff? And what is the desired Accredited Certification
Staff currently hold no certifications in Business Solutions or Business Engagement Training. Going forward we would like to establish this as a best practice. We are seeking proposals from organizations with certification capabilities. We are not specifying any one certification over another, but rather saying we want to know what the organization offers.
4. Are you interested in a certification program such as one provided by a college or university or by a national workforce association? More detail on what the boards preference and or direction for staff would be helpful, so that the offering can be in alignment with the boards wishes.
We are not specifying any one certification over another, but rather saying we want to know what certification your organization offers. Ultimately, we want the students to receive certification that they have received training in the art of working with, or for businesses in finding solutions to their workforce issues.
5. Under CEU’s what are the current CEU’s which staff receive? And what would be the desired CEU’s?
We have provided no CEU’s to the staff for Business Solutions or Business Engagement Training. We would like to establish this as a best practice. We are seeking proposals from organizations that qualify to grant CEU’s. Such organizations go thru a process to be certified grantors thru the IACET. Your organization is either authorized to grant them or they don’t count as a CEU. The website for certification is:https://professionals.collegeboard.org/prof-dev/workshops/ceu-credits
6. Who is the incumbent trainer for the above Accredited Certification and or CEU’s
There is currently no trainer.
7. Letters of Support – Is it your preference that you receive actual hard copy letters of support or references information?
Please provide (3) three signed letters of support with your proposal submission.
8. How many letters of support?
Please provide (3) three signed letters of support with your proposal submission.
