MWA is seeking proposals from Event Planners to facilitate the Raising the Bar Conference,
providing a multi‐year proposal for the aforementioned services. Raising the Bar is a three day
event, the purpose of which is to educate workforce professionals and partners around
best practices regarding the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Day one is a
partial day pre‐conference for a limited number of attendees. Days two and three are full‐day
conference days which include: opening sessions each day with guest speakers, seated
luncheons and workshops. An upwards of eight hundred (800) attendees are expected per
conference day. The selected Event Planner will coordinate the conference to be held
September 11, 2023 – September 13, 2023, and the Raising the Bar conference for calendar
years 2024 and 2025. The 2023 conference will be held at Maryland Live Casino Resort.
